I'm using MTW Pro 7.4.8 macros in a FPS game and found that if I bind anything
in the game to the CTRL key, that conflicts arise whenever MTW Pro completes
executing a macro. Not just particular macros but any macro, including a macro
that does nothing or maybe just . As most apps ignore CTRL key when it's not
combined with some other key I can see why this hasn't been an issue for many MTW users.
But many modern games (particularly of FPS genre) allow CTRL key to be associated
with actions in the game independant of most others. In other words if you have
CTRL and "S" key down at same time, the game looks at each as triggering two
seperate actions. In shooters, your left
hand is on the WASD keys and any key that is close enough to find by feel alone
becomes a prime target for binding to stuff. Hence the CTRL key gets bound to
some action in the game, MTW Pro is toggling this at completion of macros and in
doing so causes the associated action in the game to happen which is typically
unwanted. I may be overlooking something here but thought I should mention it
anyways. |
