a problem i have and cannot see a way out of.
is this :

when i make a program and the program is set to wait for some kind of
user input/action. then the macro program takes control and stays active/on top.

example :

i make a program that waits for input from another window or the program
waits for changes in another window.

but the window the program is looking at. needs to be in control. because only that
way, can the window start a sound alarm. if the window is not top of other programs,
it loses control over different actions.. eg. like sound.

i hope it makes sense.

so what i want. is a solution to give another window 1 priority. so that the macro
program is only looking from the background.

hope anyone can help me.

thz.

Hello,

It is not clear to me if you want the other window (not macro one) to be receiving keyboard keystrokes (so that if you hit a key this window consumes it) or if it only needs to be on top of other windows but without receiving keyboard keystrokes (so that macro is receiving keyboard keys)?
If you need the other window is just on top of other windows without receiving keyboard keys then you can use <winstate> command to make it "always on top".

ok ..

the other window is another program. that needs to be in ficus all the time. the macro program is only looking at that window and collecting information. but theres can be clicks in the other window as well.

i will try the <winstate> and let u know if it solved the problem.

thz petr.
nice that u always is just an email away.
