The macro runs fine when I kick it off manually. However, when I schedule the execution, it fails. The macro initially opens the RUN box with Windows-R

Hello,

it would be problem if the scheduler kicks the macro off when there is a password protected screensaver running, for example. In such case the keystrokes that are in your macro will not play.
I would recommend you to rather use <wwwopen> command for this particular macro.
